What's up guys? It's been a while since I've made a post (Shawn does all the posting around here) I've been caught up with wrestling but I've decided to give an update so... in the world of MMA today:
After Stann's victory over Chris Leben, Stann has voiced his interest in fighting Wanderlei Silva. Classy as always, Stann gives credit to Silva as a man who was a proprietor of MMA, so this could be a fight that the fans want, new breed vs legend (I know really stupid of me but whatever haha). We'll see what happens.
Vera and Mckee get cut by the UFC: It's sad to see Vera get cut, however him being a cocky fucker kinda turned me off from him, but he's good nonetheless. His stand up made fights exciting but his "olympic" wrestling was something to be laughed at. Hopefully he can climb his way back up. For someone nicknamed Black Fedor, Antonio McKee isn't very good. He's known for his top notch wrestling (however it was not enough to earn him a split decision against Volkmann) and stifling style Jon Fitch has made infamous. However an article on Sherdog about Mckee's past has made me a fan, for some reason I love people with sweet backstories, it makes them much more interesting.
James Toney calls out Rampage. I'm sorry but this man is the dumbest motherfucker out there (hahahahaha). However this could be bad for Rampage, he loves to put on a show for the fans, and that might include boxing James Toney. Though I have no doubt in my mind that Rampage is NOT a retard and will Couture him.
Jon Jones wasn't a fan of Silva's slaps at UFC 125. He called Silva's act's "disrespectful" and said "Think about all the people who watched those fights. All his fans, all the members at his school, all the kids that look up to him. Man, it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It's not something I would ever want done to me and it's not something I would ever do to someone else." This is a very humble act on Jones, I've never really rode the Jones hype train but I give kudos to someone whose mind is not clouded by arrogance and stays humble.
Sonnen caught once more, With money laundering (hahahahaha). I'm not even gonna get into this one, I like him as a fighter and how he hypes fight (he's funny sometimes) but he got bopped for roids (which he talked his way out of) but now he gets caught with this.
