UFC Live: Hardy vs Lytle Prediction Results

Lets get straight to the results. To start the event, Duane Ludwig defeated Amir Sadollah by unanimous decision by schooling the former TUF winner with a Muai Thai clinic, Donald Cerrone battered Charles Oliveira with a barrage of ground and pound to win the fight via TKO, Ben Henderson defeated highly touted contender Jim Miller via unanimous decision in a great back and forth fight that I thought was FOTN, and finally Chris Lytle defeated Dan Hardy via submission in the 3rd round in another back and forth fight that ended up receiving FOTN.

Because Hardy was on the verge of losing his 4th bout and being cut by the promotion, I was really pulling for him in this fight. Fortunately he wasnt cut by the promotion, but I think next they have to give him somebody he should be able to defeat. After watching his fight with GSP, I dont think he deserved a title shot, and since then he has been immensely overrated by the UFC itself and its fans. I dont care who he beats, but it would be pleasing to see Hardy knockout at least one more stiff before he gets cut.

After the event, Jon was awarded 4 points, Vinny and I (Shawn) both had 2 points, and Joe had 1 point.

UFC 133 Prediction Results

Sorry for the wait, but I'm lazy. I didn't watch this event, but it turned out pretty well for something that looked like shit. With many injuries plaguing the card, many people weren't looking to spend their money on it (like me), but it sure delivered. To begin the event, Rory MacDonald defeated Mike Pyle via TKO, Jorge Rivera was defeated by Constantinos Philippou in a split decision, Brian Ebersole defeated Dennis Hallman via TKO and was awarded a "getting those horrifying shorts off TV as soon as possible" bonus by Dana White, Vitor Belfort defeated Yoshihiro Akiyama with a brutal KO, and Rashad Evans defeated Tito Ortiz via TKO in the main event.

As for points awarded after the event, Joe and Jon got 6 points, I (Shawn) got 5 points, and Vinny got 3 points.

Once again, the proclaimed "greatest fighter in the world" lost again. Fedor Emelianenko was finished with strikes by Dan Henderson after almost finishing the fight himself. It was quick, it was devastating, and it was shocking. Also on the card, Miesha Tate won the Women's Bantamweight Championship by defeating former title holder Marloes Coenen with an arm triangle choke, Tim Kennedy defeated Robbie Lawler via unanimous decision by using his wrestling to repeatedly take Lawler down, Tyron Woodley did the same to defeat Paul Daley via unanimous decision, and Tarec Saffiedine defeated Scott Smith via unanimous decision.

Just days after the event, it was announced that Fedor had been cut from Strikeforce and Zuffa. Although most of us would never think something like this would happen, it wasnt a very big surprise. Im just surprised the guy hasnt retired yet. If I was the greatest in the world and lost three in a row, I probably would have jumped off the Tobin bridge already. Im surprised he still has the will to fight and compete. But all is well for us Fedor fans, apparently he is returning in the fall in Russia. We can only pray that he faces a stiff and beats the living shit out of him.

As for points awarded for the event, Jon got 4 points, Joe and I (Shawn) each got 3 points, and Vinny got 2 points.
